More than 1 in 3 patients at Mrs Kat's clinic are now in their 50s and 60s. Baby boomers is a term generally applied to adults in this age group.

Pamela, aged 62 from Birmingham says she has found confidence and a new lease of life after having liposuction to her inner thighs, back, hips and stomach.

"I have always been fairly fit and my shape has remained the same - around a dress size 10-12, but I hit a stage where I suddenly gained weight and no amount of diet or exercise would shift it.  I decided the only route was cosmetic surgery.  Once I'd made the decision to have liposuction I booked in immediately.  The procedure was a lot more comfortable than I expected and was pleasantly surprised by how I felt afterwards.  When I looked at the instant new shape I had, I was delighted".
